DEFINITION
- Planning may be regarded as an approach to trouble solving. It gives a systematic manner of viewing troubles and developing short- and long-time period answers. It can also be regarded as a decision-making technique used to assist guide choices concerning future desires.There are 5 stages of the Planning Process.
Stage 1: Identify issues and wishes
Stage 2: Develop desires and goals
Stage 3: Develop opportunity techniques
Stage 4: Select strategies and broaden an in depth plan
Stage 5: Design a monitoring and evaluation plan
The advantages of using this sequence of decision-making steps include:
- Clarification — Serves as a communication tool to inform the community, village or town about future activities.
- Control — Minimizes uncertainties since the planner must carefully weigh alternative courses of action.
- Management — A useful method of allocating limited resources.
